One of the most exciting aspects of being part of a tech revolution is sparking the minds of the next generation! We know that 3D printing’s capabilities are growing, and we enjoy inspiring students worldwide to hone their skills and innovate, like with our annual Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge.
Another great example – Stratasys recently announced a partnership with STEM Inc., a unit nested inside the Science Centre Singapore. Since their opening nearly two years ago, STEM Inc.’s goal has been to “ignite students’ passion” for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The center achieves this by bringing programs in the applied sciences to students of all ages throughout Singapore.

Teaching Skills to the Employees of the Future
Stratasys’ commitment to 3D printing education is well-known in the Asia Pacific region. The 3D Printing Experience Centre at the Stratasys office in Singapore has hosted programs for students, including two-day workshops in conjunction with STEM Inc. earlier this year. Four schools participated in the workshops, where students learned about changes that 3D printing is bringing to many industries, then designed and 3D printed their own models.
“The education program provides the opportunity for students to try their hand at it, and for educators to prepare skilled employees for the future, bridging the gap between school and the actual workforce,” said Ido Eylon, Stratasys South Asia & Pacific General Manager. “Moving forward, we believe the next generation of engineers and designers will be able to unleash even more possibilities in 3D printing as we continue to push the boundaries of this innovative technology.”
